How do you make granola bars?

It is much easier than you might think! Granola bars come together in no time using oats, flax seed, chia seed, honey, dried fruit and eggs! Why buy granola bars at the store when you can make them at home, with completely clean ingredients and no fake junk!

Can I use other fruits?

Definitely! Pick your favorite dried fruit, what about apricots, raisins, cranberries…

How long do the granola bars last for?

They are gone in a flash at my house! Because I eat them all. But if you want to make a bunch ahead of time, pop them in the freezer. They keep for months and months this way. I eat them right out of the freezer, they remain soft and chewy, no need to even thaw them!

Store bought granola bars are loaded with junk. Make these gluten & sugar free bars at home. Your body will thank you!

You Need

Method

    • Whisk all wet ingredients until frothy.
    • Mix all dry ingredients.
    • Combine wet and dry ingredients.
    • Add cherries. Mix.
    • Put in a greased 8X8 square baking dish.
    • Bake at 350 for 33 minutes.
    • Let cool completely and then refrigerate before cutting into bars.
    • Store in the refrigerator.
    To make these bars easy to remove from the baking dish, line it with parchment paper.

Note

These granola bars freeze wonderfully for long term keeping. I eat them right out of the freezer, and they remain soft and chewy!
