The BEST gluten free BUNS!

Gluten free bread products are everywhere. But they are full of junk. Xanthan gum, artificial ingredients, and chemicals to mimic the texture of gluten. Because of this I have stayed away from using buns of any kind. But I have finally found a clean BUN! The brand is UNBUN and I love their sandwich buns. They are perfect to top with my savory pulled pork.

Cool, creamy coleslaw

My cool and creamy coleslaw is the perfect accompaniment to the warm and sticky pulled pork. For my coleslaw recipe, you grate carrot, slice cabbage thin, and then whip up a dressing including mayonnaise, plant based yogurt (I use coconut) honey, and apple cider vinegar.

You Need

Method

Make the Coleslaw

    • In a medium bowl whisk all ingredients for the coleslaw except for the cabbage and carrot. 
    • Add cabbage and carrot to combined seasonings above. Mix.
    • Set aside to use on top of the sandwiches later.

Assemble the Sandwich

    • Heat pork and sauce.
    • Toast bun.
    • Plate pork on toasted bun, top with a heaping portion of coleslaw.
    • Enjoy!!
