- Combine the cacao powder with 1 tablespoon of warm water. Whisk to combine, until there are no lumps.
- In a mason jar with lid add all ingredients. Shake to combine.
- Add ice, and shake vigorously.
- Enjoy!
**You can also enjoy this hot, simply skip step #1, and add all ingredients to a small saucepan and whisk to combine.
Peppermint flavor is not the same thing as peppermint extract. Flavorings, (vanilla flavor, peppermint flavor, etc) have artificial ingredients and additives. Pure extracts are pure. Peppermint extract contains only peppermint, and alcohol.

There are many ways to make a mocha! If you prefer, you can leave the coffee out all together. Or, you can use 1-2 espresso shots. You can also use 1 cup of strong coffee. **To top your mocha with whipped cream: set a can of full fat coconut milk in the refrigerator overnight. The next day, separate the solids from the liquids. Set aside liquid for another use. In a very cold mixing bowl, using the whisk attachment, mix coconut solids on medium high speed until until fluffy!
